HOFBAUER EASTER BUNNY CONTAINER/SIGN
From the Hofbauer website I learned "Closely connected to Viennese culture, the Hofbauer chocolate masters have been finishing their finest creations with special passion and special care since 1882."  I would assume the chocolate masters either displayed this cardboard bunny in their store or where there chocolates were sold, possibly as a container to hold a specialty chocolate rabbit for some lucky recipient at Easter. It does resemble a basket of sorts with the handles on top and the enclosed holder area at the bottom. He measures about 10 1/2" tall and about 6" wide when flat. It folds up very neatly for shipping. The bottom reads F. Ludwig Hafbauer Wien - Austria Inhalt 25 Stock Feine Schokoladebonbons Gesetzlich Geschutzt (trademark?) Condition specifics above.
