    !
Pair of vintage molded glass candy containers in the form of revolver pistols for your consideration.  With the metal cap and threads on the end of their barrels, these are no newer than the 1930's.  Read below.
"Originally these glass toy candy containers sold at five-and-dimes stores and through catalogs like Sears Roebuck.
Glass toys went out of production during the Depression, between 1929 and 1939, and came back in full force during World War 2. With new automated factory assembly lines, thousands were produced daily.
Due to wartime metal shortages, the containers were closed with corks, wood stoppers, or waxed cardboard strips.
Each pistol measures approx. 8 inches long and 4.5" tall. One pistol is missing the metal cap. The metal cap is interchangeable and could be used on either gun. Each gun is in good vintage condition, no cracks.  The one with the diamond grip and no screw holes has an area where something put like a grind mark in it.  Not bad but there - see last picture.  Both could use a good cleaning.
No candy. See photos for description and condition.  I
