Here is a very collectible US trilobite. This is a large Huntonia oklahomae from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. This beautiful bug is slightly arched and exhibits very fine detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached, which is quite unusual. The inflated, protruding eyes are easily seen, and many of the individual lenses of the compound eyes are clearly defined - this is extremely uncommon. This impressive trilobite is a "fatty" - many Huntonias are long and skinny. The distinct trilobite has excellent natural color and contrast and is wonderfully centered on the large block of marlstone. This is a very nice, very large Huntonia oklahomae, a definite collection piece.
